I queried this back in Sep or so when one went to Canada and I no longer saw any

The only one shown as current is G-FIZU but that went to Canada yesterday (1 Feb)

So it appears that now they are finished.

Well.. they are finished if they've gone to Canada

I know.. I shouldn't scoff really as that's another 'classic' gone from our shores but somehow.. nah.. pointless opening old wounds again ;)

I saw one of them at Belfast airport a few years ago, ( too far away to see which one though ) . I'll always have a ''soft' spot for the Electra, as it was the first aircraft I ever threw up on.

Sounds like the Electra's from the UK will end up in Canada working as fire tankers or freighters. Possibly with Air Spray or Buffalo Airways.

I forgot about Conair. They have quite a few Convair fire tankers.

You say that :worried:

Someone on PPrune read it had gone to Conair and replied how it was his favourite film and a great about sequel etc but considered the $4 million paid was too much for a film company to pay
