DC-10 at Wadders?

Was on my way into Lincoln on Tuesday when I spotted a heavy doing circuits. At first thought it was a TriStar, but when I got into Lincoln it seemed more and more like a DC-10 - and looked like RAF colours.

Considering I only saw it at head-on and 1/4 angles closer and through trees from the side at a distance, I may have been mistaken.

Anyone know anything about it and care to enlighten me?

Hi JD..

If it was a DC-10 you saw, it was almost certainly American.. a KC-10 Extender. Don't think we've borrowed any :)

From one of the spotting sites:

8th Feb: 14:40 - Multiple Touch & Go - KDC-10 - 'NAF 64' - T-235

So it was likely this Dutch KDC-10 that you saw

Ah yes.. I'd forgotten the Dutch have them too but thought it more likely to be one from t'other side of the pond. Good find Ian

Yes, thanks Ian. I did try a Google search but nothing came up of relevance.

Next time I'll just put "planespotter" and the name of the aircraft :)
