Hi Roger
Nice shots

I think the Sigma model is regarded as the best Harrier for FS9.. it's certainly the best I've seen

There are two freeware ex-Iris Harrier packs available for FSX (not sure about FS9) The AV-8B US Harriers and the GR7/GR9 UK Harriers.

Sigma Harrier / Iris Harrier are the same thing. It's an FS9 model, ported to 'X
Rob Barendregt did some XML VTOL gauges for this that work really well

I know, but I didn't know if both the UK and US packs were available for FS9 as they are for FSX.

I've tried this in FSX, but I don't have any throttle control. At idle from starting, it's fine. Open the throttle to taxi and it suddenly kicks in, then I can't throttle back!
In this condition, it's unflyable. I've searched other forums, but can't find an answer. Anybody have any ideas?
I've changed aircraft when this happened, and they behaved correctly, so It's not my controller.

Are you using the VTOL mod by Rob Barendregt? If so make sure it's the FSX version, not the FS9 one.

Hi Dave. Thanks for the reply. I'm not using that gauge. Should I be?
I've searched Avsim and found .. rcbvcb10.zip .. which appears to be the one. I downloaded it , but haven't installed it.
Dennis.

Yep, that's the right one for the Iris Harrier in FSX.
You don't
need to use it, but it does put the V in VTOL
Was your original download already pre-modded for FSX? Sometimes these "upgraded" packages cause more problems than they cure. It may be worthwhile downloaded the orginal FS9 pack direct from Iris and start from scratch if you're still having problems.

Well, having installed it, I now have control of the throttle. However, I don't have any instruments showing in the panel.
I downloaded it from the simviation link supplied by Darren.
Back to the drawing board I guess.
