Reminds me a lot of the Mexicana Golden Inca scheme (basically an "inverted Inca" in many ways) -

Nice to see this break cover and it's the right choice for a retro scheme. However, I think they've got the titles far too small and the shamrock is a bit weak.

Looking forward to seeing it though.

Agree about the titles :agree: ...that struck me too

At least that was a livery that sported a grey bottom in reality.

One of the better ones. :worried:

I also liked the livery that followed it, the one Eddie mentions but perhaps it's a bit too close to the current one for full effect.

Seems most European Airlines now have a retro or plan to have one. *-)

A small note in that this is definitely EI-DVM. It was listed as to be applied on EI-DEL as I guess that was a logical conclusion being that EI-DVK had just been delivered and the next one was to be a retro jet

However for some reason EI-DVL follows the, middle of next month, so either that's how it was intended or there was a switch..just in case anyone comes across a reference to EI-DVL being the retro.

Another picture has appeared:

I think it looks a lot better in this view: they've gone for a 737-style nose treatment which appears to work very well. It's hard to flatter the blunt nose of the A320 but this does quite a nice job.

I like that livery on the A320 although I wonder at the wisdom of doing retro paints other than to please old farts like us

They're OK like this where the livery was designed for later types and had a grey bottom

The ones that were on prop liners and used natural metal are awful on the modern jets and pleases me not :'( ...the Air France, Finnair, Iberia and Lufthansa spring to mind.

It is a terrible waste of money though and I would much prefer it was not done and it spoils the true history. :(

This one is let down by the small titles :worried:
