That footage looks like it's from 'Sky Fighters'*, think of it as the French Top Gun and you can't go far wrong.
You can get it on region 1 DVD, certainly worth digging out a copy for the cinematography, if not the plot...
*It's called Knights of the Sky in French i.e. 'Les Chevaliers du Ciel'
