Happy Saint Georges Day to English people everywhere. The one day we have to ourselves, if anyone objects to any mention of the English today is also William Shakespeares birthday.

Although I now live north of the border,I always remember St George's Day.
Last year on April 22nd I mentioned to the secretary at the bowling club that I go to that the appropriate flag should be flown the following day.He wasn't sure what I was referring to,so I said that the flag of St George should be flown from the flagpole.'Bless my soul, I almost forgot!' was his reply(or words to that effect). He seems to forgotten again this year.BTW seems that my subscription fee has doubled this year. This must be because they regard me as a real asset to the club as well as a brilliant bowler :) EricT
