Re: Yak-52 down
There was something brief in the Fighter Control forum late this afternoon re that Chris, my thoughts went to to the families when I saw it and the quiet hope that our resident Yak jockey was someplace else today as well.
not a good, I'm very sorry for those caught up in it my sympathies to everyone in their families.

Re: Yak-52 down
That's sad news indeed but I don't think it's our resident Yak pilot.
Looking at the photo in the link above the colour scheme is wrong as our pilot's plane was repainted in green/brown camo just last year.

Re: Yak-52 down
On a more cheerful note.
There were two yaks in formation over White Waltham last week and a singleton Yak over Winnersh.
Spent a few enjoyable minutes watching them.
