IVAO and BEA

So... if I wished to fly an aircraft i.e. a 1-11 on IVAO, in BEA colours, how would I go about it?

If I look for the logical ICAO code, BEA, this comes back to some Bavarian thing. "Bealine" is acknowledged without question by most controllers, some just respond as "Bravo 522" for example.

So I'm after the ICAO ariline code for British European I suppose and to know if it's acknowledged by IVAO.

Thanks,

Paul

I'm pretty sure the ICAO for British European Airways was BEA. It is now Best Air out of Bangladesh, but the ICAO annex shows that to be a "Regionalized" ICAO code. I fly on VATSIM, but whenever I've used old or "odd" callsigns, I just put in the remarks - "RDO/xxxxxxx" with the "X's" being the full callsign. Most ATC see it so there's not a problem. It helps with Venture Hawaii (VHA) because our callsign is "Honu" (h-O-new) which can be easily misunderstood over voice, especially if everyone's using realistic distortion on their clients.
