Hi,

Its a real shame that today all these things cost so much , everyone has their favorite machine they would like to see restored, take the Vulcan, which looks very much like it is not going to fly very much longer due to Money,

But why should it cost 9Million!!! for a static exibit is beyond me and it says in that report that the aircraft has been closed to the public since October 2010, well thats helping the cause,!

Don't get me wrong i have been a fan of the old girl since first seeing her in the 1960's and have seen her many times since, like they say, once seen never fogotten,

Just my two pennies,

Cheers,

Roger.

I've no idea what it cost to move the Cobham Bus Museum a few miles up the road to Brooklands or to have the new site excavated and a purpose built building made to house the collection but one thing is certain.. it cost nowhere near £9m. No wonder the HLF turned them down! 8)
