This pilot bounced his Jungmeister quite badly trying to land in a gusty wind and had to go around, landing after the Mirage

Lots of pretty girls in Switzerland but this one happens to be British! I was never very interested in the Wingwalking in previous airshows but all of a sudden, I'm much more interested

That FFA C-3605 is a strange contraption .

A Routemaster ..where were the other two??

Feel sure I've seen the C-3605 at Shoreham before. Its a home-grown Swiss contraption. They've had about three different manufacturers in their time.

Must be a Swiss thing...the Turbo Porter has that same elongated look, a bit like a cartoon charatcature

That Kamov...I was only this evening watchin a programme about building the Honk Kong cable car by a Swiss team and they had an indentical Heli-Suisse machine for the heavier loads..might even have been that one.

Not too many of those around , I guess because they are so specialst the few that are arround are in remote locations doing jobs like the one I was watching earlier.

Excellent photography Toby. A keen eye you've got catching that bird on a wing I must say.

I'm guessing you've gotten yourself a new camera? What is it you're shooting that video with mate.

Everything (stills and video) was shot using a Canon EOS 7D SLR. The 7D has the ability to lock up the mirror and display a live image on the LCD screen like a compact camera. Personally I don't much see the use in that, but it does also mean it can take HD video, which is much more useful!

The Jungmeister with the in line engine? That'll be because it's a Jungmann (in fairness, it does say on the side! - a CASA built example in this case); the Jungmeister being the single seat development.

I assume this thing and the Turbo Porter both share the same long nose style as originally they both had relatively weighty piston powerplants up front. To avoid faffing about with the rear end, they seem to have taken to putting the lighter turbo props on the end of 12 foot scaffolding poles up the front! The original design dates back to 1939:

They often extend the fuse ahead of the wing so this would be a cheaper option expecially with a design like that were the fuse can'r really be extended it would have to be a complete redesign
