Funny how a couple of the flying snippets here brought the above names into thought

Lol!
Landing on cars and aerobatics in sailplanes does sound like the kind of tomfoolery that would occur at Mcleland field...

Hey that has given me an idea!...I could probably land that Eastbourne Monoplane on one of the Alvis Stalwart guard vehicles...Or even on a cruise ship while steaming

...You need to be able to fly at about 30 knots.

All it's lacking is the infamous 'Flaming Hoop of Doom'.

Jim,
I'm busy getting Echo RTW at the moment...I think there might be a video of Echo flying round INSIDE the crater of the Ol Longonot volcano...something I did in real life both in the Venom and the Hunter...Hunter needed 20 flap. Also I'm hoping to recreate a flight into and out of the top of "Hell's Gate" (that might be a challenge to find on any map, but it is in the Great Rift Valley just south of Lake Naivasha). The mesh I now have in Africa has brought many real remembered landmarks to life.
BTW...Ol Longonot features several times in my PowerPoint presentation "208 Squadron in Kenya".
EDIT...Hell's Gate was rather a secret place and almost impossible to get to in 1960...But things change:-
