Classic British Flight Sim

Hi,

I've been using Fraser McKay's Vanguard panel for years and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm in the habit of once I've got the aircraft in it's final approach configuration I like to get the panel out of the way and get a better view out of the window for landing. As I'm sure regular users of the Vanguard will know, if you toggle the panel out of the way (W) you are presented with the Cessna 182's mini panel across the bottom of the screen. This is OK as far as it goes, given that you have your Altimeter and ASI, but certainly on an instrument approach you really need some ILS information.

I've taken the liberty of making a little adjustment of the Panel.cfg that I thought I'd share:

I put the gauges across the top instead of the bottom as this is really the logical place for them (not obscuring the runway).

It goes without saying that you should back up your original Panel.cfg before making changes.

Better at the bottom as they are not really obscuring things but are in your field of vision as it it the bottom of the screen you are looking at.

I get the best view from the VC. But thanks for the headsup Dave.

Whether you like it on the top or on the bottom it doesn't really matter as long as you're having fun. *ahem*

Isn't that what peripheral vision is for?

Peripheral vision? now I'll have to buy another usb hub. All my ports are in use.
