HS748 - How to put FMC in panel

Hi all,

Have any of you tried to retrofit the freebie Honeywell FMC into RIck's lovely FSX HS748?

The reason I ask is that I know a few operators use a basic FMC in their avionics setup and I would like to do the same in Rick's aircraft.

I have managed to make the Honeywell FMC appear as a pop-up by installing the gauge text in the panel.cfg instead of using the default MS GPS. This works fine and the aircraft follows the FMC plan perfectly.

However I'd like to try and "install" the FMC somewhere in the 2D and VC panel but I don't know how to do it 8)

Any ideas?

Cheers

Adam

HI Adam

Sorry, I can't advise much except that you can do nothing about the VC, that is a part of the model

The rest is beyond my understanding I'm afraid, but sit tight, there are some clever people on this site so hopefully you'll get some sort of answer soon.

Hi Garry,

Wow that was quick!

It's not a major issue if it can't be done easily. I love flying the aircraft "as is". The FMC does help a little when I'm feeling lazy;)

I've managed to put an FMC in the panel thanks to FS Panel Studio!

All I need to do now is bring the 748 up to date and include a VSI/TCAS gauge. Tried to use my DA Cheyenne VSI/TCAS but it crashes FSX:(

I'll continue experimenting and post panel.cfg and info if anyone else is interested in updating their 748 with newer avionics.
