Screen lockout..

Me again.. as if I'd not seen enough problems recently 8)

It's an odd one and no mistakin'. Since having this new card.. when I go to the FSA website, or more to the point.. when I log off, I lose control of screen icons. If anything is already running (flightsim for example) that also stays put despite me closing the screen. The odd thing is, this only happens after I've been to FSA and doesn't happen every single time. I'm using IE8 patched up to the latest and greatest but.. I've had it happen using Firefox too. NO other site does this.. just FSA.

Any ideas?? *-)

I can restart the system as the taskbar.. although disappearing in lines (leaving lines behind).. will allow me to select 'Start'.. 'Turn off Computer'. I then select restart and all is normal. What at FSA might be causing this?

Hi Dave,

Its an addon causing the system to hang (in effect) Could be an adobe pluggin? I'd suggest upgrading to IE9 ;-)

Do you have Adobe PDF reader installed? If so, try uninstalling and reboot, then try reinstalling the latest version of pdf reader.

Hello Mate :hello:

I don't have Adobe Reader installed.. not used it for years (I use Foxit Reader on this pc). However, I do have 2 Adobe bits according to add/Remove programs.. Flash Player 10 Plugin and Flash Player 11 ActiveX. Other than that.. Adobe Elements *-) Odd that Firefox isn't immune *-)

Hello Mate..

Yes.. all critical updates installed. I think Java was required for some FS addon.. some prog or other that you do stuff with.. scenery builder or something like that?? I never got it to work and stopped accepting updates a while back.. this year anyway. I'll pull Java and leave it off until something tells me it needs it
