I have installed the BAC-1-11-400 from DM Flightsim in FSX and everything works well. I have just one problem, after take off the engine shut off automatically and I´ll crash, because I cannot start them again. What did I do wrong or how can I solve this problem?

Hi BAC111FAN,

Welcome aboard. Your cooking the engines, either throttle back or use the "Top Temp" switches which limited the engines to stop them overheating ;)

Let us know if this solves your problem. :)

P.S I've deleted your other post as its a duplicate of this one ;)

The same thing happened to me -- times two. Both engines were failing. I finally noticed the two warning lights that said too hot!

Hi,

thank you for this brilliant information :) I turned back the throttles after takeoff and the engines continued to run.

Hi 111FAN :)

Yup.. as was mentioned, use the 'top temp' switches (from the VC) or keep the little tinker just out of the red on takeoff for fuss-free flying. I don't use the VC so I'm a borderline yellow/red user ;)

When I first started on the 1-11, I just used the water injection (not entirely realistic at Heathrow during 10*C weather!) and throttled as high as I could without going into the red.

Then I figured out where the top temp switches are. If you don't already know, they are located on the pedestal, to the right of the throttle levers. If you had a full load with mild temperatures but the takeoff run was likely to be very long, you could always use the water injection to aid the process. I haven't flown in the "warm weathers" of Europe with the 1-11 recently, but I'm sure it would work quite nicely.

Good luck!

Michael. T ;)

OK, thanks. I will try.

Another question for the 1-11, how can I retract the rear stairs? With CTRL+E I open the main door and retract the front stairs, but I haven´t found the proceedure for the rear entrance, yet.

Hi 111FAN..

I'm not sure if it works in FSX but there's a button on the overhead. You see the door warning section.. clicking on the lamps should open and close the doors too. At least this is what happens in FS9 :)
