Nvidia driver...

I've just installed and tested 295.73 and it does seem a cut above average, with several claimed high tech advances. I had a great flight in poor weather in the Grumman E1B and I certainly had very good frame rates and smooth video performance :)

Hmmm *-)

I loaded is and basically I've lost most of the scenary detail.........everything is very bare looking.

I also can't AA properly, AA is on but things are a little jagged most noticable on the green ILS runway extension on the GPS.

I presume that you are in Full Screen mode...Ticking the AA box does not work in Windowed Mode.

I avoided all problems by using the Default installation choice as it preserves all your existing settings...You may have made the other choice.

Hi Peter

Yes..always full screen

I installed it as it came...I did nothing

It changed the resolution settings (to minimum) and turned trailing to bi liner but everything else remained the same...I just put those back.

The edges are more of a roughness rather than true unAA jagged, that is smaller sized jaggies. :dunno:

Hi Garry,

as per the other thread, something deffinately doesn't sound right on your PC. Nowadays the only time the NVidia driver changes settings is when you select the "Clean Install" mode *-)

If you go into the NVidia control panel, click on "manage 3d settings"

Under program settings select MS Flight Simulator 2004 and set the AA etc as you would wish ;) :cpu:

Thanks Ben

I'll take a look :)

Before this I tried the AA settings on the card and there was no AA at all in FS, only when set as application controlled and set in the game.

I was going to try enhancer again after a few years but searching for enhancer brought up loads of other stuff with enhancer in the name but I didn't get to find it. :'(

Hi Garry,

Nvidia seem to have moved away from forcing AA on on the card in recent drivers, as the only options are Application Controlled or Enhance application setting. If you select enhance application setting and then enable it in the game, this seems to work ;)
