I've got my hours built, which I got by touring the country in a very old PA38 Tomahawk (older than me) and am full immersed in the ATPL exam studies now, which are at times, bloody hard!!

Just thought I'd give you a quick update. If I ever get time to work it out I'll post a few pics from my hour building trips.
Wow Paul, you certainly have taken up flying to another level. What are your hopes if you do pass the ATPL Exam? Flying commercially or becoming an instructor? Either way I wish all all the very best and hope you do get your ATPL.

Regards
Nigel.

Just an update chaps, my first 4 ATPL exams are passed with reasonable results too!!

I find the practical based ones, Nav, Aircraft Systems fascinating, which helps the learning I suppose!!

Just 10 more to pass now!!

Paul

:welldone: Yes, well done, Paul.
When you've passed them all, don't forget about us mere mortals! Stick around and keep us in the loop. ;)

Very well done Paul. I’m sure you’re determined enough to pass the remaining ten. EricT

Well done Paul, :welldone: all the work effort has definitely paid off for you and keeping my fingers crossed that you are able to make the grades on the following exams.

BTW, have you thought of flying with Ryanair? :hide:

Only joking though I see they have stated that: Cadets will no longer pay a course fee of €29,500. This is being replaced by a one off, up front €5,000 payment and a 5 year reducing bond with no salary deductions! Cadets will be paid a salary from day 1 of base training.

Nigel.

Well, another four exams passed, 6 more to go!

Ryanair, yes, I'd go for them. They're really valued as a training establishment.

I'll keep you updated!!

Ryanair is the cess pit of aviation!

They treat their staff like sh*t and charge them a fortune for the privilege.

OK Chaps, wish me luck...

Got my FAA IR mock test tomorrow and my actual the day after.

As an aside, years spent flying VORs and ILS on flight Sim has made this a whole lot easier. Its amazing how real you can make it at home-- a big help when it came to this.
