Not flown for a while, in fact flown the least this year since returning to the hobby. Work and other comitments taking priority :worried:
We've had a few problems down the field, with noise being one of the issues. Noisy models are now banned, so the 2stroke engine in the cub has been replaced with a 4 stroke. Had the engine for a while, but in no rush to get it in flying order. As I convert all my engines to petrol I have had to buy the cdi unit and graft the sensor to the engine. Mounted the engine last night and fueled it up for the first run today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDH8_qecQ_M
The engine started reluctantly but was ok after I had adjusted the needle valve setting to suit the leaner mixture required for petrol

Like you, I've not taken anything up for months. I've even started deleting HobbyKing emails without looking at them :lol: The cub sounds great :tunes:

I noticed a couple of weeks ago the field off Cocksparrow Lane near Huntington had sheep wandering all over it so I guess the guys who fly from there have either stopped for the winter or, they've let the field go. Can't imagine it's the latter but letting sheep wander all over it won't do the surface any good so I don't really know :dunno:

Shame if they have lost the field Sites are hard to come by
As I said, thought we were going to loose ours Think its one of the reasons I've lost a bit of interest. With the models I have nowadays a proper field is a must. Cant see us going back to the foamies, they just dont do it for me now :dunno:

No mate.. I can understand that ;)

I think it was the trouble I had with HK (walrus props) that kinda knocked me back a bit. It was resolved in the end but the fight dented my interest I'm afraid. I've missed some really good days over the past few weeks but CBA to walk across the common :( Never mind.. they'll keep ;)

24/7 can't get enough then suddenly CBA :(( . A little later on something happens and you 24/7 again. :excited:

Motivation is not a word that hold very true this time of year.

Just got to get that kick, like pushing a boat in the water, takes a lot to get it going then it just runs on and on. :cpu:

Will be spring soon enough :)

You're right mate. Fortunately, my foamies won't 'go off' and while the servos may get a little stiff, it doesn't take much to get them going again. I should probably have drained the batteries but I'm sure they'll be ok again after a couple of charges :)

Hi guys :hello:

Seems like so long since we chatted about our little hobby. :'(

I'm thinking of dusting off the models, now the weathers getting milder.

Although here in Manchester it still feels bloody arctic at the moment. :lol:

Looking forward to getting the P51 and Styker up again very soon.

I hope the servo's haven't seized through lack of activity. *-)

I'm scared of taking the P51 up in case it falls apart in the air :lol: Missed a couple of nice days recently. Think I might blow the dust off the Walrus and Bixler. Just looked at the DX6i and still have 5.9v showing. Dunno what state the lipo's are in. Not flown for months :worried:
