Description
FSX Type 82 Bristol Class Destroyer. Helicopter landable, provided in both static and AI form. Three versions are provided, representing the vessel in early, mid, and late life fit. Can be used alone or as escort to an aircraft carrier. All three are provided with and without wake, and with smoke effect. By Mike Hudson.

I've not looked at them closely so can't comment, but if anyone is interested and tries them, perhaps they could report back :)

Hello Mate :hello:

I've edited the title to read Type 82 (vice Type42) and had a look at that screenie. To be honest, it doesn't immediately 'shout' Type82 to me. The basics are there but it doesn't look proportionally correct IMHO. Perhaps it's the fact there are 3 in shot and we only ever had 1!

Still.. any new(ish) build for FS is good so when I get my life sorted.. I'll be adding it to the collection ;)

Having been standing next to HMS Bristol on Thursday, it doesn't look that bad IMHO.

Here's the real thing (not quite as she is now haha)

It'll be good to stick her next to Whale Island in my FS9 install once I've fixed my computer!

Kind regards

John

Yes mate.. as I said earlier, anything is better than nothing ;) There are a few others available which I suspect may have been made by the same author.. Tiger Class Cruiser.. County Class Destroyer.. Leander Class Frigate (in various flavours.. gun/ikara/exocet). They look fair at a distance and are just right for adding as escorts to carrier groups and the like ;)

I don't think low res jaggy edged, low quality screenshots ever do any justice to anything.

They would look better on a more detailed sea and with some AA.
