Well!

I've completed my first TR flight on the 748 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was only a few pounds out on my fuel calcs, which was nice.

What a lovely aircraft to fly and due to it's systems I only had about 5 minutes "free time" as I was kept busy making sure eveything was going well.

I chose 10000' for the trip from Aberdeen to Kirkwall. What do the rest of you think? Is that about right? :dunno:

My wife goes away for a fortninght this weekend so real work and cadet work permitting, I should be able to get some hours in on the 748 and make it second nature. ;)

Its been a while since I did any VA flights in her, but from memory I used 4 - 8000 ft on the short runs, depending on terrain etc.

Similar distance from CI to Spouthampton which was usually 8,000 sometimes 6,000.

Don't know about the 748 but the Heralds flew at much the same height on those routes and were often un pressurised

:hello:
I usually fly around 12000 this makes sure i keep in the habit of landing lamp procedures. The dragon is the only a/c I leave them on for the entire flight. Nice aircraft the 748 i just find the ground handling difficult
Cheers
