FOSTER WIKNER WICKO GM-1 FS9

Hi folks. I'm pleased to announce that the team of Messrs Brian Horsey, Martin Pengelly and myself have just published our Foster Wikner GM-1 model over in the http://www.britsim.com library.

The Wicko G.M.1 was the third design of Australian aircraft builder Geoffrey Wikner after he had set up a business in the U.K. in 1934.
His plan was to offer a no-frills aircraft which would undercut the opposition but still have a reasonable performance.
Nine further aircraft were built before production ceased with the beginning of the war
Four of the Wickos survived the war but there was to be no further production, Geoffrey Wikner returning to Australia.
The final survivor was G-AFJB / DR613 having been returned to the civil register in late1943.
Following an extensive restoration it was flying again in 2005 and still makes an occasional appearance at vintage fly-ins here in the U.K.
Cheers
