Peter. I'll allow you a week to explore and then I want to see screenshots and videos please! My present machine isn't powerful enough to run Flight smoothly so I'm going to have to wait a few weeks before I can join you!

Ian :)

I'll do my best Ian...593 MBs of download in 7 Packs and the cost is about £10 or 1200 thingies. I downloaded it earlier from in the game and it installed faultlessly. I have flown around some areas that I know well and looked at Russell Fjord and the Hubbard Glacier (very spectacular) and landed at Yakutat and Situk and the bay in the end of the Russell Fjord. I am using the Icon. The free Cub in the download has no cockpit. The scenery appears to be very accurate and must be extremely good value for such a massive area of wilderness.

HINT...The area being so large, you need to zoom in a long way before the smaller airfields show...There are a LOT of airfields.

I was very disappointed with Lake Hood. If anything it is worse than the FSX default :(

I spent the day flying the terrain that I'm familiar with...I had parked my Icon on an island beach in the bay where McLeland field is in FS9...Interesting to see the same terrain in FLIGHT and compare it with Holger Sandmann's FS9 scenery.

I launched the amphib from the beach and then flew down to Harlequin Lake to look at the foot of the Yakutat Glacier. Then I landed on the lake and Taxied the whole length of Dangerous River down to the ocean at about 6 knots (19% power). Then took off, landed at Yakutat for fuel and then after some more exploring round the Russell Fjord I landed at Mountain Lake and beached near some pine trees...It was a very nice adventure and I enjoyed Dangerous River (the last time I did that was with a boat in FS9 the difference was that Holger's terrain was more finely accurate but the water and textures were superb in FLIGHT). I can see that I will be flying Alaska in MS Flight for a very long time to come. They have not loaded it with any missions or aerocaches yet but the joys of Free flight in this wilderness are just great and the Icon is perfect for enjoying it :)
