A great success ...on it's first hop the undercarriage collapsed.

After repair it made it's only flight (almost) , attained an altitude of less than 20 feet when the pilot decided to put it back down and the main keel structure broke.

It was concluded it needed total redesign and the second machine was abandoned and that was the end of the type.

It looks very modern for its age but flies really well. A fine effort Keith considering the paucity of information available.
I wonder - did it fly further than the Wright bros. first succesful flight because if it did then yes, it can be said to have flown.

Considering the difference in speed I would say that it probably flew twice as far!

I think you could class it as flown a,d the wings kept it aloft and the fact he 'put' it back down means it was under full control which supports the flight.

OK so the flying career was lot a long as that of the Piper Cub , but it did fly.

As such and the fact it was built, powered up and did move means it really did exist so a fine subject for FS
