Classic British Flight Sim

Morning all,

Just a quick question to see if anyone can help me please.

I have painted and installed a Fs2004 aircraft in FSX, but it doenst have any bump mapping or self shadowing/aircraft shadowing on itself, does anyone know how to add them? or know of any tutorials online i can use?

Hi Jason,

FS9 aircraft don't have bump mapping or self shadowing regardless of which sim you use. The bump mapping etc needs to be 'built into' the model. A model built using the FSX or P3D SDK should have it, but it won't be backwards compatible with FS9.

That sorts that out then lol

Cheers for that Ben, im not technical minded with FSX, i just throw a few coats of paint on aircraft at the moment.
