anyone familiar with the old dialect of the fisherfolk of Cromarty?

I had no idea there was such a dialect. :| key word - was

To be fair, there probably wasn't much the old fisherfolk of Cromarty had to talk about anyway. Especially after the herring died out. It only left the weather. And sheep, probably. A ten word vocabulary should cover it comprehensively :lol:
