anyone familiar with the old dialect of the fisherfolk of Cromarty?
I had no idea there was such a dialect.

To be fair, there probably wasn't much the old fisherfolk of Cromarty had to talk about anyway. Especially after the herring died out. It only left the weather. And sheep, probably. A ten word vocabulary should cover it comprehensively
