Classic British Flight Sim

Last Friday we visited the RAF Museum again , and I was fascinated to see on the No 3 Engine nacelle of the Lancaster that painted in white it said " P/O P.McClelland DFC" . I realise the spelling is different but bearing in mind how often Scottish names are mis-spelled , is there any connection with our Peter? ( Father or Uncle perhaps?) If not, it is an odd coincidence
