I'm quite fond of the Tri-Pacer (had Bill Lyons' one for FS9) and with the Just Flight offer you can get a free Spitfire for those that don't have one...

I just purchased the Pacer package...before I saw the JustFlight deal. As for the Tri-Pacer, I love her!! Like you I have very fond memories of flying Bill's Tri-Pacer. I was even on his beta team back in the day. This Tri-Pacer is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and it flies beautifully. Bill had realworld Pacer/Tri-Pacer pilots involved in the testing and they claim that she flies like the real thing. Usually I'm very hesitant about encouraging people to part with their hard-earned money but I feel safe telling you that if you enjoyed Mr. Lyons' Tri-Pacer you'll be very happy with your purchase. Brian, Thanks for the feedback - I took your advice and took the plunge (not such a deep plunge as I thought as I had some just flight points so I got the Pipe and the Spitty for the princely sum of £12.49) First impressions are that the Piper is a very nice model to fly....Just took it for a pootle from EGBE to EGBK, very well behaved and easy to trim. "Battered" instrument panel is a bit irritating but generally I'm well pleased with the firast of the variants I've tried.

Hi John. When you say "battered" do you mean dirty? If so there's a handy squirt bottle of cleanser on the cabin floor...seriously. When you hover your cursor over it you will see the state of your instruments and windows 'normal/dirty/clean'. Just click the bottle until it says 'clean'. I think the author put this in the aircraft so the bush pilots will have a dirty aircraft to fly. Yuck!

No, it was more the battered look of the cockpit panel (on Tri Pacer "Old Blue") but I've since found other versions (e.g. N2215A) that don't have that feature, so no problem. I'd found the "clean screen feature" - quite neat!

I just took a look at "Old Blue". Yikes! Looks like someone let a monkey loose in her.

Well I've found a way to clean up Old Blue's panel. I copied the following files from subfolder 'texture.N8945D' to 'texture.Old Blue' in the main folder 'Piper_Tri_Pacer_LHC' overwriting the original files...after backing up the original 'texture.Old Blue' of course.

Pacer_PanelFace_Old.dds
Pacer_PanelFace_Old_Three.dds
Pacer_Panel1.dds
Pacer_Panel2.dds
Pacer_Panel3.dds

This will allow you to keep Old Blue's original panel but remove the monkey marks.
