Pippa Middleton's Tips

Tips, I said!

Poor Pippa, her long awaited book of party planning tips, Celebrate, hasn't gone too well. It's currently 322nd in Amazon's best seller list. Some critics say that her tips are banal and naive but I think they are being unimaginative. In fact there is a very popular spoof twitter feed called Pippa Middleton's Tips and it makes me giggle so much I subscribe to it.

To set the mood, these are actually from the book:

Because of their size, turkeys are perfect for feeding larger gatherings.
For parties, wrap a small gift. Sit everyone in a circle and pass the parcel.
Outdoor seating: hay bales and tree stumps are practical.
Store cupboards, drawers and boxes should be packed full of useful odds and ends.

These are from Pippa Middleton's Tips Twitter account:

Avoid being burgled this Christmas by locking windows and doors.
Do check ahead to see that a loved-one hasn't been discharged before visiting them in hospital.
A great way to entertain friends, loved-ones and other people is to tell a joke or recite an amusing story.
Keep your tootsies (feet) warm by wearing thick socks in cold weather. Brrrrr.
Hair bands make a fashionable, yet practical gift for a loved-one with morning sickness.
Save money by wearing clothes more than once.
A great weekend activity is visiting friends. Just go to their house and do things, like talking. Check they're home first!

So cruel

Don't go out in the rain without one's umbrella, one might get wet.
Don't step into the road without looking, one might get runover by an omnibus(whatever one of those are).
Don't forget to take precautions.......

Beware: pregnancy can bring on severe morning sickness.

Never, ever sun-bathe topless - you never know who's watching with a camera.

Talk about pointing out the bleedin' obvious Pippa. I was reminded of the mag Viz whilst reading those tips, is that mag still going?
