I get the feeling he's done that once or twice before John. I dunno why he didn't cut out the middleman and land on the taxiway

I was about to say the same thing Dave, it looks ok until something goes wrong!
Unless the person filming it had done it before but if not i hope he/she had a clean pair of pants/knickers with them,
Roger.

I see what he was doing. He wanted to get to the bar before the parachutists so he didn't have to buy a round
I can't even do that in FS where the consequences of misjudging it are slightly less ... er ... consequential
Or can I?

I think you can mate

I can see the CS B52 doing that into Bowerman as I type
Perhaps if you had a TrackIR mate. All round visual awareness is key to that sort of thing and something I find terribly lacking in FS.. especially in a VC in FSX using the POV switch

On the subject of panning round in FSX VC, I have a Saitek stick so use the mouse "joystick" on the throttle and a button on the stick to replicate holding space bar and panning with the mouse. I also have a key set up to snap back to front, i.e. Ctrl+Space. I find this so much better. It takes a bit of setting the mouse to pan at a controllable rate.
Works for me.

Its easier in an open topped kite in the VC on .3 zoom I find - I do it most of the time to save time in the circuit! Not in the RW though!
