Classic British Flight Sim

Hi All,

Just downloaded and installed the Beaufighter and Mosquito into FSX.When I select current aircraft there they are in all their glory, but when I select aircraft and OK I end up with a half constructed aircraft on screen. Aircraft flys OK but very strange view from outside shot.
Lets see if I can post a screen shot, not sure how to do this.

Hi there and welcome. We've seen this a few times before were some folk didn't have a graphics card that could cope with the high res textures. Dave should pop by in the next day or so and may have some advice.

Thanks for the quick response. The good news is all is now OK. Did a full reinstall. Think it may have been a direct X problem.

That's usually caused by not having the service packs or Acceleration installed. Most of my aircraft use 2048x2048 size textures for the exterior, but the original release of FSX could only handle up to 1024x1024 textures. That was increased with the SPs.
