A Little Aside...

Post by Tomliner »

...Absolutely nothing to do with FS,but have you ever found yourself in a shop or somewhere where there is music playing in the background in where normally you pay no attention to it,but then you start to listen and decide that you rather like the track?Happened to me today in a shop in town and by guessing the title from the lyrics I looked on Youtube and found it.I expect some of you will already know it but if not have a listen. If you have good sound so much the better.

She did a live lounge with Ferne Cotton earlier in the year and I must say she has a fantastic voice, very easy to listen to and just relax

I'm confused, I seem to be hearing a melody here. I thought that was something of the past with all this rap crap and dance garbage that passes for music these days.
Hope she does well, nice voice, reminds me of Karen Carpenter. I'm not alone in thinking that I Wiki'd her.

Even better if the supermarkets turned the music right off :hide:

I'd normally agree with you Garry but three reasons why not in this case
1 It wasn't a supermarket 2 It wasn't overly loud and 3 If it wasn't playing,I wouldn't have heard it would I?
I imagine a concert with her and Richard Hawley would be brilliant. :agree: EricT

Alex,Richard Hawley is another singer/songwriter who has made some excellent music. You may know his song 'Open Up Your Door' which I think was used in a Haagen Daas advert and also, accoring to comments on YT,in 'Sex In The City'.He comes from Sheffield and his song 'Coles Corner' is about a well known meeting place for couples in the city centre.Coles is the name of the local John Lewis department store.Geat song.If you liked the music of Rumer, take a listen to some Richard Hawley's songs also
Re Rumer,I and SWMBO have been listening to more of her tracks on YT and I can see the plastic coming out of my wallet to buy some of her tracks. :) EricT
