Simple Airport Scanner

A small free program from Airport Design Editor that may be of use if you have trouble keeping track of your addon airfields. It scans your FS install for addons and gives you info about them. It ignores default airports. It works in FS9, FSX and P3D. I haven't tried it myself so I can't say if it's any good.

Go here and look for the news item on the right of the page.

Is this not ADE9x we all know and love? *-) If so, it's rather more than a simple airport scanner ;)

Simple Airport Scanner is it's name, not an adjective that I injected as a whim

I don't dabble in any of this stuff so none of it means anything to me, I'm just passing on something that I read in the P3D forum on the chance that it might be useful to somebody ... but obviously not :(

Simple Airport Scanner is just a little prog to find duplicate airfields in your scenery which can sometimes cause problems. Made by the same chap as ADE9x.

As with most things, care should be taken if it does find duplicates as some scenery is designed that way.

Sorry Ian..

I looked at the main item on that page and it showed ADE. I've just looked at it again and noticed the ad for Simple Airport Scanner in a text box on the side of the page ;)

Thanks for the caution Dave :)

This simulator business is evidently full of pitfalls and other dangers.
Might have to look for a safer hobby. :hide:
