Not bad for a modern livery. :)

I knew there was something up when I posted the odd 'painted' N719AN the other day which sort of disappeared instead of reappearing a few days later as if something was about to happen. It was in primer then an overall grey with a different tail when normally it's primer then paint.

The old metal livery was great in the old days of metal aeroplanes B-) but it's long past it's sell by date.

The first thought that went through my head was OMG it's Cubana!  The old livery was definitely a bit dated but I wish the change wasn't so extreme. :(

It does feel like Cubana!!! Certainly not the worst modern scheme, which is perhaps damning it with faint praise. But the grey is drab, almost military and I don't like the billboard titles, nor the dropping of "Airlines". The flag tail is a bit of a mess, with all those intermediate graduated stripes. It won't last 40+ years like the last one.

Since Cuban* has been brought up...

Would I be going off topic if I mentioned the Cuban chic that lives a couple of doors down the road.

Chuffing 'eck lads. Next time put a health warning on posts referring to Cubana.

I just did a google image search. Top left image looked more like a couple of hindenburgs in close formation....... :worried:
