Yet another load of so called "security" nonsense. Quite how a single unsealed door could affect the safety of other operators for 3 hours defeats me . If the airport director was so worried he should have had the aircraft towed to a more isolated location where any explosion would be of nil effect

Exactly...there has been a lort of disquiet about this one.

Whatever next. Aircraft with doors that are open (at an airport as well!).

It seems it was worked on overnight and when the day crew came to door was open and that caused all the power hungry brigade to justify their existance

How long does it take to shout "Who left this bl====dy door open?"

Perhaps they didn't tow it in case there was a movement sensitive neutron plasma bomb on board.

They could have watched "The Chaser" comedy team, from 2 or 3 years back.
There was some huge heads of the world meeting up North - Sydney, Canberra, or someplace.
Just about the entire city was in lock down, inconveniencing thousands of workers and businesses.
These crazy blokes were in a hired limousine, dressed as terrorists, and with a fake card on the windscreen, reading something like "This is just a joke".
They had expected to be turned back or arrested at the first checkpoint, but were waved through many.
It was only when they decided it had gone too far, and vacated their car, that "Security" realised what was going on.
Why mention this? Because security is just a word.
