I think these are some of your best screenshots ever, Peter. The pairing of the airport and the Auster is perfect and they are both of superb quality. I keep going back and looking at them again and keep finding more detail. Although it's not for everyone, Orbx have certainly opened a new direction in flight simming and every new airfield seems to push the boundary further.
Wonderful shots, I shall keep coming back to view them again! Although I do have some concerns about the percentage of horsemeat in the creatureflow product

Hi all, those pictures of Stapleford are absolutly stunning.. As someone who worked there for Thurston Aviation in the 80's it really is like
looking at a photo. I flew from there quite often and the airial shots are great aswell
Cheers all Brian.

Thanks for that, Brian. Although the scenery appears to have a lot of realism and atmosphere, I've never been to Stapleford - so it's good to hear that the Orbx scenery is true-to-life. Straight from the horse's mouth

I sent an URL, pointing at my post, to an old friend in NZ and got this in his reply:-
"Dear Pete,
Yes I did – my flying scholarship for the PPL.
Log book shows my first flight at Stapleford - 6/6/66, First solo on 8/6/66 (4 hours 50 mins dual), and final general handling test on 28/6/66. 30 hours in total including spinning, short and long cross-countries (both dual and solo). Obviously had good weather!
I recognise some of the features on your pics. Stapleford hasn’t changed much in nearly 50 years."
I must confess that I have never been there, but it seems to be a very busy place, judging by Google Earth

I don't remember the grass being so tall when I used to fly out of Stapleford, but that's just me bing picky, what excellant scenery and not the fps hog I was anticipating bearing in mind the proximity of the capital which kills my PC.
