Channel Islands Civil Aircraft Register

Seems now this will start in September
Originally a Guernsey thing, after varying interest Jersey is on board for a joint CI register.
The register will be 2-**** which the authorities say will allow some interesting letter combinations....can't see how...well...how many words start with 2?? ...inless text spek is used and that would look silly:dunno:
this will run on similar lines to the Manx register and it is envisaged that Guernsey based aircraft will be 2-G*** and Jersey 2-J***
Why not just use the British colonial VP-G (allocated to but not used by Gibraltar ) and VP-J??
Whatever...after about two years work it's about to happen...why does it take that long??
