I was looking forward to this. The superbike racing has been much better than Moto GP for the last couple of years.

What's making me nervous is that one of Berlusconi's channels has acquired the TV rights here, and have also hired Max Biaggi as commentator. They already have the rights to Moto GP and in the last few years have increased the advertising during the races. The race continues in a small window in the corner of the screen. They call this a "pit stop" and it happens three times in a Moto GP race.

Sometimes the crucial part of the race happens during the adverts but it's always an annoying break in action.

No doubt I'll watch it, Phillip Island is a great circuit. I might even be proved wrong. After all Silvio does want people to vote for him on Sunday.

Hi Roger, :hello:
Sadly, the Airspeed domestic budget doesn't accommodate these things. The nearest I get to "being there", is smelling hot oil on the BBQ (reminds me of Castrol "R" :( )
I do have a Superbikes sim, which lets me crash at Phillip Island whilst trying to catch the other 19 riders.

Worse still, there's another "Airshows Downunder" at Avalon next month. I guess I'll get out the old photo album, and light up the kerosene blowlamp to provide the aroma. If that's not enough, I could jam a bit of wood in the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner for a sound effect.

On the subject of $1800+ for a ticket, I was learning Mah Jong the other day with a guy who is renting a fishing boat out of Cairns for $2000 per day. He's driving up there to celebrate his son's birthday.
Told him I'd want to BUY the boat for that amount. I live in the past.

Living in a town which is very gay-friendly, I had to read your line about what I could buy, a couple of times!!

Hi Mike,

Castrol "R"!! i have not smelt that for a long time,

Its a shame nowadays that things are so expensive to go anywhere, my son takes my grandson up to London now and again to see a football match and its an arm and a leg job! i suppose it's always been the same, i must be getting old and Grumpy

Its freezing cold here today Mike with the wind is coming off the North Sea where i live so i'm nice and warm on my PC {Poooter}

Nice to talk to you.

Roger.
