Cold War Fighter Jet Collision Over Guildford - 1952

How interesting. My family lived in Ripley for over 40 years, and yet I've never heard this story before. Of course, I was only 13 at the time of the crash.
I remember the Hutson family, some of them still live in Ripley. The only family members of mine, lie in the St Mary Magdelene churchyard in the village.
I like the "small town" description, much better than "large village" It does boast several famous locals, including Eric Clapton and Ashley Giles.
