DH Sea Vixen

Post by plumber »

Hi, I am looking for an FS9 model of the above, I know that there was an AlphaSim version that does not seem to be available now, plus one other in which the web site is dodgy. Can anyone assist me please.
Many thanks

Hi Brian, and welcome to the forum :hello:

It's possible the Alphasim model may now be available under the Virtavia label, but I don't know for sure.
The Skysim model is well thought of, but again, I'm not sure of the situation with the website.

No other models spring to mind I'm afraid.

Hi Brian :hello:

I have both and there's little comparison between the 2. I've just had a look on the Virtavia (ex-Alpha) freeware site and it doesn't look like their Sea Vixen made it to free status for FS9 although there's an FS2002/CFS2 model there.

As far as I can see, the Skysim site is still active.. http://www.skysim.co.uk/home.htm . If you have to get one, get the Skysim model. I say this not because I was on the beta team for it but because it really is by far the best model in every respect ;) It remains my fave fast jet in FSX as it was in FS9 (there are 2 versions) ;)

Have a go with the FS9 version on here - http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... egoryId=31

No idea how it flies, or looks but it's a start until you find another.

Tks for the prod Darren. Sorry Brian.. I see it's an FS9 model you're after. I've no experience of that model but it'll do no harm to give it a try :)
