Airfield Signal Squares
Spotted some debate on the ORB-X boards asking what that "T" thing is on the ground at Compton Abbas (and other GA airports) and found this in response....

I'm guessing that most folk here know this but while I used to know this stuff (Air Scout Air Apprentice badge, I think... ), I'd forgotten some of the details, so contributed for those with an interest.

John - thanks for that info. I'd seen these squares in screenshots of Orbx airfields and seen a couple of posts on the subject. I hadn't really understood what they meant or how they worked but your link explains it all perfectly.

Dont use them in sim ..... low res.

Providing you are at joining height, do they give you a Green Aldis from the lantern when its clear to land?
