The first five were taken yesterday on another bicycle trundle around the Harlaw and Threipmuir resevoirs in the Pentland Hills.I know they are very similar to others that I posted earlier but I can't resist re-taking these sort of pics when the chance arises.

A few shots taken recently on Castle St Edinburgh showing some of Lothian Buses new Volvo single deck Eco buses. They are hybrids which a relatively small diesel engine to supply the power needed to charge the batteries which power the electric traction. Some double deck versions were introduced about 18 months ago.Hopefully someone will find them interesting!

Eric...I think you need to place the Image tags at front and back of each:-

{img} at the front and {/img} at the rear...for technical reasons I can't place the correct brackets here so you must use the SQUARE brackets and not the wriggly ones that I have typed.

Here is one of mine:-

And now with the correct square brackets:-

Hi Eric,

Lovely pics, they remind me of Dartmoor, i used to live down in Devon and enjoyed a bit of Trout Fly fishing, very tranquil,

I think they are beginning to get around a lot more using that Technology of part Diesel/Electric and they certainly look smart,

Thanks for posting.

Roger.

PB for one supplies with IMG tags.

But if not, it's simple case of highlighting the link and pressing the IMG selection button on the edit menu

If that's you on the wing Peter, can I please have a supply of whatever you are taking. It appears to take the years off.

Nice shots Eric. Though when I saw number three I was wondering what the chap in the water was doing. :hide:

I like those pics, Eric. They look very peaceful and are beautifully composed and sharp as always. Those buses look smart - I'd like to flash my bus pass on one of those! Hybrid sounds like the perfect way to go for public transport. Clean, quiet and efficient.

Graham just pipped me to it! I was going to ask - what's that guy been drinking to get an impressive stream like that? :-O

Ian :)

  Hi Graham, yes I spotted that when I was posting them. It's one of two that I submitted today to the Readers Gallery in The Scotsman newspaper. It'd be a laugh if they were to print it! :) EricT
Edit.Ian,It would have been even more convincing had the line been curved at that exact moment giving an impression of an arc of 'golden rain'! EricT

Hi Eric,
They were interesting shots.
I particularly like the sequence of the dog stealing the man's walking stick, then the after shot where the dog's been thrown into the water.

Lovely bit of country, and very user friendly looking buses.

BTW Ian, looks like you survived your recent illness, or are you still battling it?
