Hi Roger,
Anthony has released a lot of freeware over the years, including his marvellous Tiger Moth, and a vast array of small airports.
I'm glad that he's getting paid for this one.
After pension day, he'll get another customer.
Excellent subject; I've seen T-28s at airshows; solid, with visually pleasing lines.

There's also a demo version so you can try before you buy.

It's fantastic. The low price point makes it even more appealing. It has a very well simulated start routine, with a cheat shortcut for those so inclined. The night lighting is a work of art unto itself.

Shoot me down if you like, but IIRC, this machine was to train future jet pilots. It was built to fly like a jet, and drop like a stone at low speed.
Well, I downloaded the demo.
Good things:
It looks magnificent.
The canopy makes a very satisfying swish and clunk.
When it stalls, it is a pig to recover.
Grumbles:
The engine sounds like a Volkswagen with a potato stuck up the tail pipe.
It seems rather unstable on the ground and in the air.
It seems to take off far too easily, and is very light on the controls.
I had trouble keeping RPM below the red line, but airspeed was still slow to increase.I tried varying the prop pitch, which certainly dropped the revs, but little A/S effect.
Another read of the pilot's notes may enlighten me, but who knows.
I will certainly need to settle the grumbles before buying.
