Whilst lookin through my scanned slides just now trying to find a particular pic,I came across these few and thought I'd set a little puzzle.Basically, what is it(type) and where is it.They are no great shakes photographically but that doesn't matter.I don't think they will tax any of you very much.
Bit of info, pics 1 and 2 were taken on the same flight(the temperature at the destination was about 15degrees C higher than at the departure at the time) and pic 3 was taken 2 years later going in the opposite direction. No prizes offered I'm afraid EricT
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!
I'm guessing 3rd one is Aberdeen ABZ on rwy 35 . 1st 'n 2nd Business Express [ c/s Granite ] , out bound from ABZ rwy17 .... arriving ... can't be Manchester ..it's not raining ! But is that snow int the jet pipe ?
Yes,The types are Saab340 and a 737 of Easyjet.Dave is correct in identifying Aberdeen and Business Express, but pic2 is on the downwind r/h leg to r/w 27 at East Mids(EGNX).The pic shows junction 25 on the M1 on the outskirts of Nottingham. The first two were taken in 1994 and the third pic 2 years later on a flight from Luton to Aberdeen.
As this was such an exciting puzzle I might have a little firtle through some again later on and maybe post a few more! EricT
Edit, could it be ice in the jet pipe? I would be surprised if it was.The temperature on the ground at EGNX was about 30C at the time.
