Just came across across this
http://www.gatwick-aviation-museum.co.u ... rsale.html on the Avro Shackleton Facebook page. Unless you have funds to spare it will be just off passing interest to most aviation enthusiasts. Though I wonder what will happen to unsold airframes.
If this has already been linked to previouly, sorry, I've not seen it.

Sadly, I think Peter Vallance died recently, and thus I imagine all the museum exhibits will soon be on the market. This link clearly pre-dates his death since the e mail link is to him

Sad to hear of deaths at any time. More touching when they were aviation enthusiasts.
Judging by the £500 tag on the Hunter leg, reasonable offers on the other stuff are way out of my league

He fought so hard for the museum
It is along side Gatwick yet they were against him keeping aeroplanes...not in keeping with the area???
We often here about why don't we have this and that, but when folks try they get kicked down.
Most things it seems we do have , like this, were the result of a long battle.
I was sadden by his death when announced a little while back.

Rationalisation of the collection is a good idea I think, I do hope nothing gets scrapped!
