A couple of blue and yellow Eurocopters...

Just thought I'd share a couple of photos seeing as there was plenty of interest in Dave's repaints of the Police Eurocopters.
G-SURY leaves on another training flight in the sunny Cotswolds.
G-EMID sits rotors running whilst G-SURY lands nearby.
G-EMID comes back down to earth.
A few jealous birds who wished they could fly too...
Off back home at the end of another long day.

Like baddie chasing wasps
Bonus points to anyone who can tell which WW2 bomber base we're approaching to land at here. Something a fixed wing could no longer do.

Rob, is it the same place as in the first shots?

It looks like somewhere the Army have got their paws on. The East Mids chopper is (was?) based at Sulby, but I can't think where that is, as it doesn't look like anywhere in that area

Yep, it's still based there, Husbands Bosworth Airfield which is actually at Sulby. The photo's aren't there though you're right
The 2nd through 5th in the first post were taken at the former RAF Enstone in Oxfordshire, the place in the guess the location photo is around 5 mins from there at 120kts. The first photo in the first post is also the same place but taken from the ground...

Here's yours truly learning what to do when it all goes wrong, it's now the Fire Service College.

Looks like theres an old Hunter and Mil Helicopter on the North side (in bing maps anyway) but the new houses don't show in that which is what threw me

They're still being built, I can't imagine why anyone would want to buy a house there, they overlook Armageddon!
There's a Hunter, a Viscount and a Wessex there, I didn't get close enough to take any photo's but they're all in a very bad state

There's also a mock motorway and a mock train crash, all very good for training.
Here's a bonus pic of G-NMID on a cold morning. It's sad that I now notice all the subtle differences in paint scheme! NMID, SURY and EMID are all Turbomecca engined EC135 T2's from roughly the same year but not a single one is the same as another
