I have a good feeling about this guys ...

Although not out yet, it seems to already be working with FSX. I can "see" (pun intended) myself now, at the controls of DM's VC10 sans KB, inputting my next star/sid or switching radio freq (there are special gloves and shoes involved with this gizmo) in real time.

Thanks for the HU. ;) :hello:
Not a lot to actually see on their promo, but I've subscribed to their newsletter.
Hopefully, this will be cheaper than a wall projector, but I won't count on it.

Latest I've seen on this is that it's near release, and the price around £400, or US$600, or AU$860.
Add freight = fright!

On the subect of fright, don't want to spoil your week end, but Mrs Airspeed just told me that there's a huge gas cloud approaching the Milky Way. ETA 30 million years, current speed over 1.1 million kph.
I think that'll jigger the weather well and truly!

I had a go with Oculus at the flight sim show at Cosford in 2014. The impression it gives of sitting in a three dimensional cockpit is remarkable, but the obvious question is - how do you see your keyboard to do all the necessary ? It was fun to try it out, though.

Hoooooooooooooooooow Much? After reading such foul language, this is one Yorkshireman heading for a long session in a darkened room?

Do not tell Mrs. Airspeed about the future collision of the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy. No need to worry her

Not to worry the Galactic Highway Patrol will be pulling it over soon enough, everyone knows the speed limit is only 1 million kph.

We'd previously seen diagrams of the Andromeda collision, now I see there's a simulated video.

I didn't realise that they predict 3 hits.
The first two look bad enough, but it looks like 3 and you're out.

I'm not so worried about this event, as it's something like 4 billion years off.
That gas cloud is only 30 million, and being about 2,500 light years across, I think that the weather forecasts will get rather monotonous.
Let's hope you're right, Alex.

In the book I saw, they were from Venus, we're from Mars. :dunno:
