The Beretta Jetfire

'While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my husband we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at us from out of nowhere.

She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive.

If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire with me I would not be here today!
Just one shot to my husband’s knee cap was all it took.

The bear got him and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace..
It's one of the best pistols in my collection'.
Now looking for a new partner.Any takers? EricT

I've always held the position that I needn't run faster than the bear, just faster than the person with whom I'm hiking.

Last summer, we were going through immigration at the border crossing between Montana and Alberta to spend a day at Waterton Lakes National Park. The Canadian immigration agent asked if we were carrying any weapons, to which I replied that we had a can of bear spray if that counted. He asked why we'd want to spray a bear, and when I replied that my preference was to not need to spray a bear he chuckled and sent us on our way.

Fortunately, we didn't need the spray for this encounter - they were about a quarter mile away.

Down here in Daarset , we don't get bears , just Badgers ; 'n they're the symbol of the local brewery . But always wanted to know '' do bears really s*** in the woods '' ?
