Nothing to do with FS.There are over twenty of them and none would win any awards, but I enjoyed being there and taking them.
The first two are at our local bowling club

The next seven were taken last Saturday on a day out to the villages of Elie and Pittenweem in Fife

Taken on Sunday at a market in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh

Next five taken yesterday on another bike ride into the Pentland hills .Unfortunately the photos can't capture the peace and quiet, broken only by birdsong.Neither can they capture the scent of the wild flowers which was so strong on a wind free day.

Three taken today on the streets of St Andrews

Finally for the motor bikers, this evening back in Edinburgh while sitting having a pint or three on George St, these bikes all stopped right outside so I thought I'd try to grab a few shots.I'm sure you'll be able to ID them.

Hi Eric,

Nice veriety of pictures,

I used to play Bowls but indoors, i tried on the green but could not seem to get on with it, i still have my woods and gear but getting older with aches in the back does not help!
You say your local bowl club, so do you play Eric?

Our summer down here in Kent so far has been ok except we keep getting the wind which makes it colder and uncomfortable but at least it's dry,

Thanks for posting,

Roger.

Hi Roger, yes I play occasionally but I'm not consistent.Lately I 've been rubbish at it.In fact I think I enjoy the social side of it more than the game itself.
These are a mishmash of pics, but I tried to give the feeling of, what has so far, been a better than usual summer up here.
A few weeks ago we were down on the Isle of Wight and though the weather was mixed, apparently it was better here.
No matter,we still enjoyed it. :) EricT

An add on to my reply to Roger just now, from BBC Scotland:-
Trains disrupted by hot weather

9 July 2013 Last updated at 17:19 Several services from Waverley Station were affected
Rail services have been disrupted around Edinburgh after high temperatures on the track affected signalling equipment.

Network Rail said temperatures on the tracks had reached 43C at Kincardine in Fife and they had also registered 38C to 40C on rails across the country.

A spokesman said most services were holding up well.

But he said a heat-related problem with points near Edinburgh Waverley had led to disruption to the west of the city.

Network Rail, which is responsible for rail infrastructure, also said there was a speed restriction of 30 mph on the Glasgow-Ayr line.

The spokesman said: "We've had our teams out since first thing, and we've tried to keep the system running.

"We've got a heat-related points issue at Edinburgh Waverley. That's led to disruption, with Waverley being such a busy station. It's having a residual effect lasting into rush hour, but it's clearing, and there are speed restrictions west of Haymarket.

"We're doing what we can to help passengers. They're getting bottles of water at Waverley."

Scotrail, which operates train services, said signalling problems at Edinburgh had led to trains being "cancelled, delayed or revised at short notice".

A spokesman said: "We would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our control."

Cairngorm summit
Scotland has been experiencing the highest temperatures in the UK and it has again been the hottest day of 2013 north of the border.

Both the Strathallan weather station in Perthshire (28.7C) and Edinburgh Gogarbank (28.5C) topped 28C.

Threave in Kirkcudbrightshire recorded a temperature of 27.5C and Carterhouse in Roxburghshire was 27.2C.

Aboyne in Aberdeenshire reached 26.8C and the Glasgow Bishopton station in Renfrewshire recorded 26.5C.

However, Lerwick on Shetland was just 12C, which was cooler than Cairngorm summit at 14C.
EricT :) Probably be snowing this time next week!

Shadows, blue sky? Are you sure these were taken in Britian in the summer? Seriously, I always enjoy seeing your pictures Eric. I spotted a few bonnie lasses too which is always a bonus.

Eric, ;)
That's a lovely bunch, especially good to see those views down narrow streets looking onto the beach - brought back memories of similar stuff in Devon and Cornwall.

Wonderful pics. Thanks so much for sharing them with us Eric. :) I showed them to a friend at work who had a very big smile on his face while he viewed them. :)

These shots are superb, Eric. I especially like the one with the little yellow yacht. You really do have quite a talent for creating a work of art from an ordinary scene. It's also good to see you making the most of your retirement.

Thanks very much for posting this set. I thoroughly enjoyed them.

Ian :)
