I wonder why the RN trialled the smaller 929-series Hydrofoil when the Pegasus-class PHM hydrofoil was in production (the first one was delivered in 1977) and was somewhat larger and I would believe better suited for the Mine Countermeasure mission.

Was this picture taking in Belfast Port? The ship in the back ground looks very like one that was docked here last week: I'm working in the docks area at the momet. Alas, I missed this vehicle.

The vessel behind is a seems to me a strandard looking craft seen in many places... Navy tug livery??

The Jetfoil was sold many, many years ago and the pic posted was taken in August 1982.

Ah right. The vessel I have seen is just a bulk carrier that was in port for a few days last week, but it was the same colour!
